Soccer Season & Broken arms

See my cute little angel.....how could he ever do anything wrong???
Well, believe it or not, he did. My sisters-in-law Jen and Kandi have been coming to exercise with me this past week. The kids love it cause they can play with cousins while we exercise. When we moved here to Roy, the love sac ended up in the kids room by their door. It made it really hard to get into their room. Well, Brady had enough of it on Wednesday, so he dropped it to the bottom of the basement stairs. I hadn't moved it, so the kids found great enjoyment in jumping off the stairs into the love sac. Well, the girls and I started exercising and I heard a muffled cry. I went to the stairs and saw Kandi's daughter, Zoey, face down in the love sac. :( Isabel promptly informed me that Ben pushed her. Ben said that he helped her jump. (from 10 stairs up....) He didn't run and hide, or act like he had done anything wrong. I guess he just figured that he helped her jump.... Zoey wouldn't quit crying, so Kandi took her home. I texted Kandi later that day and asked how Zoey was. Apparently, she had to take Zoey to the dr because she kept crying when she would touch or bump it. The dr's verdict was.......a buckle fracture :( Ben broke her arm.....his first broken bone and it wasn't even his own.
Zoey does look really cute with a cast, and she still loves to play with Ben.....

Ben wouldn't tell her sorry the first day becuase he didn't think he had done anything wrong. The next day when Ben saw her he realized, I think, that he had hurt her, so he went and gave her a hug. The next picture kills me. Their faces are hillarious. :) For all those who are wondering, the love sac has been moved, and the kids still play together. No more jumping, or helping others jump. Once again, sorry Zoey.... Hope this next month isn't too hard.
Onto happier subjects, Isabel started soccer this week so I am officially a socceer mom! She is in the 4yr old AYSO league that plays at Municipal Park for the next 7 Saturdays. Since they are the youngest players there, they don't have practice during the week, they practice for the first 20min and then play the game the last 20min. She loved doing the drills for practice! Look at the little blonde girl's hair. She is wearing the team scrunchie that the coach's mom made for all the girls! Isabel was very excited to have one that matched her soccer costume! (She wanted to know why she had to wear a uniform, so I explained that it was like her dance recitals where they have to wear the same outfit, so now she calls it her soccer costume ;))

She got a little bored at game time. She like the practice better cause she could still be nice to the other kids and everyone got a turn to kick it. She did kick it a few times during the game, she just had to work for it.
Brady took her shopping for her cleats and shin guards. She picked black and pink Nikes for both. They are really cute. She says she can't run fast with them on. Brady took them out into the backyard to have her practice for part of Family Home Evening monday so hopefully it wont be so hard for her to run fast this Saturday.
She was only a little sad that she wasn't number 5. She wanted number 5 cause that is how old she will be on her birthday, and most things at this age center around birtdays. She is numer 6. We told her that being number 6 is good because that is how old she will be when grandma and grandpa Morgan get home from their mission. Here she is running with the other kids. I love how you can't see any of their legs cause the shorts are so long! She loves that her socks cover her shin guards... they hide!
An action shot! The guy in the back with the white hat and shirt is her coach, Doug. He does really good job with the kids.
One more action shot. She said she loves soccer even though it makes her legs hurt :) We will have to see how this next week goes! We get to bring treats :)

I'm sorry Zoey's arm is broken. I thought, reading the title, that Ben broke his arm playing soccer.

Never a dull moment :)

"I was just helping her jump" = priceless ;) Watch out, though. That sounds like an excuse that can/will be used in MANY different scenarios!!
