Almost like Christmas.....

We had to clean out the storage unit this week. This meant that all of the baby toys we had there came home with us. It was just like Christmas for the kids cause all the toys were like new ones :)

This has been the toy of choice this week.... the Winnie the Pooh walker!
It was the favorite for both Ben and Isabel. At least they are good at taking turns.

They are pretty speedy going up and down the hall! One gets the caterpillar and the other gets the walker and they race from the train room down to their room, then they park them at the foot of their bed til they are ready for another race!

Luckily it hasn't broken, and it keeps them entertained for hours each day!

Gardens and Worms

After we picked veggies from the garden, Isabel insisted that I put pictures of it on the blog, so Grandpa Grant could see what we got from his garden. Ben loves the zucchini! As you can see there are beans, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, green peppers, jalapenos, purple cabbage, cucumbers and broccoli. We have had a pretty good year.
The kids with the bowl of goodies saying "cheese"!
Isabel's suprise face that there actually was a cabbage that we were going to try and eat! The other one that we thought was good was filled in the middle with bugs..... yuck....
It was Wednesday after tumbling, hence the outfit..... but she wanted to carry the bowl inside so I could see her muscles, plus she is my big helper!

She put it down for a second, and Ben decided it was his turn to try to take it inside.

The verdict.....an empty bowl with stuff all over. He helped me put it all back and just carried the zucchini for me.
Then they decided to run around the yard. I thought these were cute pictures of them having fun.

He has the most contagious smile. I find myself just smiling because he seems to find happiness in whatever he does. (Unless he is throwing a tantrum.....) Now onto the WORMS!

Here they are! My kids love worms. I was weeding tonight and happened to find one. Isabel ran over and asked if she could hold it. Ben came over next. It cracked me up to listen to them.....
Isabel: Ben do you want to hold it? He's cute!
Ben: Yes. Hold worm.
Isabel: Ok, careful, you have to hold it's head....no, not like that.....here let me hold him cause my hands bigger.
Ben: Have big hands...Woah!
Isabel: Do you want to hold him again? He likes to move....wait I think he wants me to hold him.
Luckily by this time I had found another worm so Ben could hold one! It was just a little tiny one and Isabel was a little jealous cause Ben got the baby one.
Isabel's worm she named 'Santa Claus', for no other reason than she wanted to name him that. She sat on the swing and rocked him, put him on the swim pool so he could exercise a little bit, and got him a shovel full of dirt so he could play. What a good worm owner :)

Here is Ben showing me his worm. Yes he is stretching it out. He was just a little guy, and Ben didn't think we could see it in the pictures.

It was time for showers and bed, so I had the kids plant their worms. Here is Ben shoveling his worm into the dirt.
Here is Isabel shoveling her worm back into the dirt. I love pets that entertain kids for hours, yet you don't have to feed, take for walks, play with unless you want to , and can put back in the dirt when you're done! Until the next time worms !

Soccer Season & Broken arms

See my cute little angel.....how could he ever do anything wrong???
Well, believe it or not, he did. My sisters-in-law Jen and Kandi have been coming to exercise with me this past week. The kids love it cause they can play with cousins while we exercise. When we moved here to Roy, the love sac ended up in the kids room by their door. It made it really hard to get into their room. Well, Brady had enough of it on Wednesday, so he dropped it to the bottom of the basement stairs. I hadn't moved it, so the kids found great enjoyment in jumping off the stairs into the love sac. Well, the girls and I started exercising and I heard a muffled cry. I went to the stairs and saw Kandi's daughter, Zoey, face down in the love sac. :( Isabel promptly informed me that Ben pushed her. Ben said that he helped her jump. (from 10 stairs up....) He didn't run and hide, or act like he had done anything wrong. I guess he just figured that he helped her jump.... Zoey wouldn't quit crying, so Kandi took her home. I texted Kandi later that day and asked how Zoey was. Apparently, she had to take Zoey to the dr because she kept crying when she would touch or bump it. The dr's verdict was.......a buckle fracture :( Ben broke her arm.....his first broken bone and it wasn't even his own.
Zoey does look really cute with a cast, and she still loves to play with Ben.....

Ben wouldn't tell her sorry the first day becuase he didn't think he had done anything wrong. The next day when Ben saw her he realized, I think, that he had hurt her, so he went and gave her a hug. The next picture kills me. Their faces are hillarious. :) For all those who are wondering, the love sac has been moved, and the kids still play together. No more jumping, or helping others jump. Once again, sorry Zoey.... Hope this next month isn't too hard.
Onto happier subjects, Isabel started soccer this week so I am officially a socceer mom! She is in the 4yr old AYSO league that plays at Municipal Park for the next 7 Saturdays. Since they are the youngest players there, they don't have practice during the week, they practice for the first 20min and then play the game the last 20min. She loved doing the drills for practice! Look at the little blonde girl's hair. She is wearing the team scrunchie that the coach's mom made for all the girls! Isabel was very excited to have one that matched her soccer costume! (She wanted to know why she had to wear a uniform, so I explained that it was like her dance recitals where they have to wear the same outfit, so now she calls it her soccer costume ;))

She got a little bored at game time. She like the practice better cause she could still be nice to the other kids and everyone got a turn to kick it. She did kick it a few times during the game, she just had to work for it.
Brady took her shopping for her cleats and shin guards. She picked black and pink Nikes for both. They are really cute. She says she can't run fast with them on. Brady took them out into the backyard to have her practice for part of Family Home Evening monday so hopefully it wont be so hard for her to run fast this Saturday.
She was only a little sad that she wasn't number 5. She wanted number 5 cause that is how old she will be on her birthday, and most things at this age center around birtdays. She is numer 6. We told her that being number 6 is good because that is how old she will be when grandma and grandpa Morgan get home from their mission. Here she is running with the other kids. I love how you can't see any of their legs cause the shorts are so long! She loves that her socks cover her shin guards... they hide!
An action shot! The guy in the back with the white hat and shirt is her coach, Doug. He does really good job with the kids.
One more action shot. She said she loves soccer even though it makes her legs hurt :) We will have to see how this next week goes! We get to bring treats :)

First Day of School

Isabel has been super excited to start school! After changing outfits 3 times, this is what she decided on. We had back to school night, and the teacher asked me if Isabel was extremely shy. I told her to let Isabel and Ari sit next to each other once and then ask me that question :) Isn't she so cute and grown up! Can you believe she is only 4!
After the 1st week of school, the girls seem to be loving it! They are still best friends, which is awesome! Miss Angela (their teacher) says they still love to sit together whenever they are given the chance.
Right now they get to color and play and learn rules of the classroom. They are so cute together!

If I could get these two to pose it would be awesome. Ben was sad when I dropped the girls off cause he wanted to stay and play with them. He liked the fact that he got to play with just me though :) A few of the parents asked me which class he was going to be in when we were there....umm he's only 2! Just cause he is the size of the 4yr olds :)
Isabel wore her sparkle sketchers. I didn't think twice, until I tried to take them off of her when she got home. They were tied in about 6 knots each! She said they came untied and she fixed them! Guess we need to work on tying shoes! I'm so glad she loves school. I knew she would!
